Anti freeze

During this cold spell coming up, take care not to spill any neat anti freeze on the paint work, it can mark it for life
Pour it into a smaller jug /vessel rather than use the large containers.

I thought anti freeze wasn't as corrosive as it used to be...I'm not suggesting you pour it onto the paint work to find out though.

You have a good point there, but maybe there are horders out there like me who still has the three types ie Alloy/ alloy iron/ and iron types ( next time I go out shopping I will read the labels. the cars most affected are the classic's finnished in cellulouse.

Interestingly I have 2 brands in the garage used for 2 different cars - neither being the SL. The halfords brand has ethylene glycol in it and the warning to wash off any spills on paintwork. The other is comma brand and is synthetic - mono propylene glycol and has no warnings.
