Well that's just brilliant......I've turned the tv on and it happened to be on a news channel where they were announcing the winner of today's race!:mad::mad:
I am usually always careful about this on race day. :(

Oh no!!! I hate it when they do that. It spoils the whole thing when you know the result!!!

Congratulations, Lewis and the W11, Toto and Team MB, the best of the best, great wheel to wheel action in the Turkey GP today.
Just waiting for Ted's notebook now.

It certainly wasn't for me anyway...was probably the hardest race to predict of the whole year.
I am still looking forward to watching the highlights to see how it all unfolds. :)

Like him or loathe him that was a masterclass.
I agree...but unfortunately the haters for their own reasons are still gonna hate. "he only wins cause he's in the best car", "he needs to win with another team before he can prove himself" "Mercedes built cars for Hitler" blah, bla, blah... The last one is almost unbelievable but it is said.
The fact is Lewis Hamilton's driving talents are universally acknowledged and respected by everybody currently and previously associated with the sport, but some of the armchair critics apparently know better.
We will probably(never say never) never see this level of dominance in F1 again in our lifetime, and the guy is British FFS!!
We should all be celebrating his success and not continually looking for ways to knock him down like a large section of the British public are doing, because for them he will never be good enough.
He will probably still not win BBC Sports Personality of the Year this year. :D

Well done Lewis on your 7th title...now lets make it 8 next year.
Oh and very well done to Perez and Vettel today!

Definitely a master class in driving. It was so hard to predict who would win, even with Hamilton in front, the threat of further rain or a spin (as his tyres wore down) had me fearful that he lose out.

I'm so glad to see that he won the title by wining the race.

To the doubters I'd say look at Bottas in the same car and then judge who is the better driver.
The conditions neutralised any power advantage and the track made it a liability.
Cool heads and experience seemed to be the order of the day.

So glad to Vettel actually shine and show what he his capable of for once. A podium finish for his first points this season!

Agree 100% with you, maybe those naysayers want Michelin in F1?

It was exciting from the very start!
I enjoyed watching the older drivers pulling away smoothly when the lights went out and seeing the young-bloods skating around like Bambi on ice!
Once Max matures a bit he will be an awesome driver but it'll take time!

I'm of the opinion it should be a free choice for the teams. Dunlop, Firestone, Goodyear et al.
Pirelli are doing a terrible job imho!
"No-one told us the track was resurfaced" is not an adequate excuse in such a technically advanced sport!
And don't get me started on the degradation issues!

What a lovely way to win your 7th World Championship :) Superb drive, absolute mastery of the conditions and the bottle to hold out on worn inters rather than risk a pit stop. He might have the benefit of a superb Mecedes team (which he never fails to give credit to), but it's clear he's a country mile better than the vast majority of his peers, Well done Lewis!!

I think it has to be remembered that MB were nowhere near the pace this weekend until a certain driver wrung the life out of the car (& it's tyres), so evidence enough it's not 'just the car', hats off to the guy, best in the world for many years to come, who knows if anyone will match this achievement and he only has himself to beat now!

Toto wouldn’t say it when prompted on air but yes IMO Lewis Hamilton is the best all round driver I’ve witnessed in my lifetime, yesterday’s performance proved that beyond doubt, he ignored his opportunity to change tyres and nursed the car home at racing speed on intermediates that became slicks - what an instinct for racing and ability in car control - well done Lewis you continue to set the bar higher as all time greats do

And let's not forget that he LAPPED his teammate in an identical car! Yes, the Mercedes is the best car on the grid at the moment, but the driver clearly matters. Also, remember that Lewis has won a race in EVERY season he has competed in which includes his rookie season and including 4 seasons with McLaren where they were far from the most competitive car, and one with Mercedes before Hybrid era where they too were not exactly class leading.

I had previously thought when I was looking forward to Lewis getting 100 pole positions that it would come next season sometime...but now it is looking entirely possible that he could end this season with that magic number.

Blimey - a LOT of stuff happened in that race! Great relief that Grosjean is ok, and incredible testament to the safety measures in F1. Halo probably saved two lives, Grosjean for sure, and Stroll would have bounced on his head without it too!

Well done Lewis and MB, the best of the best. Horrendous crash for Grosjean, very lucky to walk away alive and relatively unscathed. Great response from the guys in the following medical team and of course the marshalls.
