Very glad Grosjean is ok but I hope he will realise he has used up his 9 lives. He is clearly a better driver than I will ever be but he seems to be a danger to himself and others around him. Time to walk away imho. :alien:
Lewis is relentless. Well done!!!! :D

2005 CL500.
Grosjean's car dived through the armco (why)...and stopped the front of the car instantly...the rear, with the heavy bits, kept moving...and separated from the safety cell.

He was lucky to find a way out, he could so easily have been trapped.

The enquiry will be centered around why the armco "split".

There was mention that the Armco had been altered to allow camera access?

Pleased he escaped relatively unscathed according to reports. With full fuel tanks a bad time to have a head on collision with Armco and despite the fire resistant filling which should have protected the driver the fuel leaked and burnt easily or the fuel pump didn’t shut off either way an enquiry will reveal all and needs to be dealt with. Testimony to the design and safety of modern F1 cars

Said it was there to protect the service road. Ross Brawn said it was not a place they would normally expect a car to hit as it was on a straight after the bend.

HALO saved him, in a message GRO said although he was against it he is very glad it is on the cars. He should be out of hospital tomorrow.

Pietro Fittipaldi is replacing him for the next race at least

If he has broken ribs that will be his season and F1 career over. 3 weeks won’t see him in the car again. Braun said that the fire was just a little fuel and not the full 100 lts going up.

Would be nice to see GR in the car, Williams are dead last anyway so makes little difference

Yes, but how embarrassing would it be when George beat Valtteri?
I think it would buck him up! He has given up trying to beat Lewis but he always seems to have a boost just after his contract is re-signed

It'll be a heck of a boost to Max V - only 12 points behind Valterie now for 2nd place in the drivers, at leat 1 if not 2 GP's with no Hamilton to show him the way round the track. Lets hope Valterie and his pit wall team get their mojo back after their performance last weekend!
