would be interesting is had a part number for the mercedes online parts website to x refernce.

aside, the online patrs site is very good, i put the part number for the w220 complete body shell (from the russian site), surprised it was listed, cant recall exactly but was about 15K

It didn't come off a certain boxer's motor now did it?
In any case, I suspect it would be more than £2k given that it's carbon fibre but I can't imagine who'd want it. If you stuff your SLR, I doubt you'd be too worried about the no claims bonus. It would just go back to the factory.
Anyway, its a bit of a departure for him. He normally sells underlay!

I think the boxers car was much worse for damage.

Possibly.
Actually, given that it is carbon fibre, not glass fibre, sure the term 'easy repair' doesn't really apply - or have I missed the carbon fibre repair kits in halfords? Or is he suggesting that someone who can afford £300k+? for a motor would bodge it to save a few quid?
