not sure it would, if im honest. it would be nice to try it though! still seeing air running in the fuel lines when its revved up a bit, and the injector rattle gets worse (as does the starting) the harder its driven. changing the outlet hose from the tank strainer if its fine at the weekend. the threaded part is crimped to the hose, similar to a hydraulic pipe on a JCB or the metal to rubber pipe joints on aircon pipes, so (fingers, toes and everything else crossed) im thinking thatr over the last 10 years, the hose is starting to come loose in the crimped area, and its drawing air into the pipe, the pump etc and isnt fully going through the system, then the air gathers in the pump and expands leading to non starting when hot, and poor starting and misfire for approx 1 minute (not a constant misfire) when cold. its the only part (except the metal pipe which looks like new) that i havent replaced with brand new/ known good replacements tank side of the first clear plastic pipe (that feeds the pre filter)
