Anyone in Colchester?

Hi guys

Not sure if I am a Merc owner. Both our cars, an A209 and a W211 estate decided to croak within the space of 5 days. I think the A209 has timing issues and the W211's air suspension refused to raise itself this morning. That said, we have owned both cars for 6 years without so much as the regular oil service and some punishing trips to Europe. I really like the W211 and really wanted to reach space shuttle miles on it. I am in Colchester and would like a reference to a competent tech (preferably indy/mobile) with reasonable rates.

One of the best indies in your area is Alex Crow. His workshop is in Stowmarket, near.the station. Cannot recommend him highly enough.

Thanks Craig! The engine and drivetrain are absolutely first class. Every time I drive that thing, the word train comes to mind. So I look forward to having new air struts fitted. Another 196000 you reckon?

Yep' I use Alex's garage as well for stuff , even though it's an hours drive away . I recently recommended a buddy of mine with an electric seat problem . Merc had wanted £900 for the electric seat base , plus unspecified hours at £100+ per hour labour rates . I said take a drive out to see Alex . Anyway £90 later he is back on the road and Alex has a new customer for life
