Just wondering what they are like to live with......
Known issues ?
Service costs ?

Prices seem pretty strong at the moment @£45k-£50k mark.

What are the must-haves with options ?

TIA

Can,t help with the queries, although agree they seem to be holding strong prices at the moment, but I have test driven back to back the standard C63, followed by the performance packed C63. Very exciting cars to drive. I prefered the standard version, as the performance pack suspension was a little hard, and the brakes need a lot of getting used too, although loved the feel of the performance pack steering wheel. I would have one now if I could, but could,nt agree a price with my PX. Intrested to hear, if you do buy one.

Quite a few owners on here and not many problems reported apart from the obvious rear tyres and brake wear :)

There were a few reported issues with head bolt failure on early engines along with cam buckets rattling on cold starts, though most problems seemed to be fixed under warranty.

Generally a good engine which should last for many miles if properly looked after.

The head bolt issue and cam lobe issue on the 6.2 engine was no longer an issue from 2011 onwards chap.

Apparently ....

silly question perhaps but what's the main difference between a C63 and an E63 ? (apart from differences between c class and e class... or is that just it ?)

Absolutely love mine (PP 2012 C63C).

First service was cheap except that it needed new rear tyres (at about 8k miles). Hasn't missed a beat/needed anything (had a new windscreen, but a stone chip the size of a coaster was hardly the cars fault).

Also - have to say my dealer is very good too (Lookers, Tonbridge in Kent)

Up till a couple of years ago not a lot mechanically. Same engine (6.2 V8 designated M156 though in a slightly higher state of tune than a standard C63) and box I believe.

However, from around June/July 2011 Mercedes started using the 5.5 Bi-Turbo engine (M157) which some of us prefer. ;)
