Lion batteries don’t have the best reviews. I did a bit of research when buying mine a couple of months ago. So out of the 2 i would opt for the Halfords one.

As stated above, Lion Batteries don’t seem to be up to much so I would go for Halfords one myself. Plus Halfords carry a better warranty which is a bit of a bonus

If you order first thing in the morning Tanya will deliver next day they did with me
The OP is in N. Ireland which may be a problem with availability of suppliers.
Agree that Tayna are very good and quick.

With a 5 yr guarantee, the Halfords one looks decent value for an AGM stop start battery.

Given the choice, my pick is OEM, Varta and Yuasa in that order.

Hence the 3 year warranty, with 5 years for the Halfords.

Halfords own brand may well be rebadged Varta or Yuasa.

Mercedes don't make batteries so their own rebadged ones are also probably Varta and have been known to last 8 years.

Lion battery if you are planning to sell your vehicle in the next year and are cutting costs.

Don't forget the auxiliary battery as well o_O

As above, I would go for this one https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/f21/

Varta Silver is OEM, I wouldn't put a Lion or a Halfords battery anywhere near a car!
Thanks Tony that was a good direction you sent me in appreciate that. Didn’t think they would send to me but all looks good. My start stop staying on orange and tested my battery today was reading just over 11 v so thinks it’s on its way out it will be 5 yr old in October.
thanks.

Don’t start about aux battery one at a time. Lol. At least it’s a bit cheaper if required. ( I think ) have not looked into it yet or put a reader on. But main battery was only reading 11 v this morning.
starts ok but start stop orange and bugging me it’s not working.

I would just be wary of the belief that any manufacturer would only build a battery to a single specification and simply stick other retailer's branding on the very same battery as their own! A more likely scenario with Halfords and such like is that a Battery Manufacturer would build a battery to a specification or a budget set by the customer, which I would rather suspect to be an inferior product sold at a more competitive price and the cynic in me suggests that Halford's, on this occasion, are just greedy selling theirs more expensive than the Varta F21 from Tayna! :)

You're welcome! 11v is quite low and would indicate that some irreparable damage has already occurred but don't write it off just yet! I recovered a couple of AGM batteries recently, if you take off the label you'll find the 6 x individual cell caps beneath, you need to get brutal with a small podger, punch or other blunt instrument and remove the cell caps, they are screwed and friction sealed into a standard thread, inside where you will find the (Dry) tops of the lead plates and glass-fibre matting, top up to around 5-6mm over the plates with De-Ionised water, don't use distilled water, the minerals in distilled water will do the battery no favours, give the battery a full cycle charge, if you have a smart charger that will repair an AGM battery, run a repair cycle then another full charge cycle, leave for 24 Hours and check the voltage at the terminals, it can be retasked as a spare/standby for a rainy day, good luck!
