Most that have fitted them and I know many love them, as the car feels sportier to drive, as said the engine power is not changed, just the feeling of the throttle where when fitted it is much more responsive, or less movement required.

I might have fitted one my self, other than the fact that my garage is very difficult to reverse into.

Most have fitted them to the SLK but hey work well on others.

The throttle on our cars require a lot of movement, with the sprint Booster it does not. I would say that 95% are very happy with them.

To be completely honest I have never seen any point to them, it just changes the throttle resistance values, instead of moving say your foot for 2cm of power on the throttle, you will only have to move it a fraction of that to get the same with a Sprintbooster, it does not give any additional power or torque, it only reduces how much you have to move your foot on the throttle.
In my opinion they are a waste of time, spend the money on something that has some benefit.

As Andy said - spend your money on something worthwhile. All the sprintbooster is really is a signal amplifier circuit that turns your throttle in to more of an on/off switch really ;) Many have fitted them and are happy but those who need fine throttle control on a regular basis (like people who drive in traffic a lot or do low speed manoeuvring) have found it to be more of a pain than a gain. Choice is yours really at the end of the day but essentially if you want the same effect just floor the throttle everywhere all the time as essentially that's all the SB does.

Move your seat half an inch forward & you get the same effect , plus it does not cost anything.

The latterday electronic version of an old trick I learned years ago when working on cars: always set/reduce the play in the throttle cable as part of a service. The customer perceived an instant improvement as soon they drove away (or should I say, was better able to feel the improvement engendered by the quality servicing work :) ).

You could always re-set your accelerator pedal. Do a search for a thread called "Sprintbooster" that I started and Stats gave me the procedure for doing it. Give it a try and see if that's better.

Was there not another thread that said the throttle reset procedure is nothing more than hearsay & does not actually do anything?

I can't remember that one. I did try to reset the throttle body, but to be honest, if there was a difference it wasn't too noticeable. I'm not saying that it doesn't work though.

There was,,and it does not do much.

My comments on the booster were from those that have them fitted

I thought the throttle, gearbox mapping etc constantly changed on the way the car was driven.

As you said, if you cannot get the power down quickly enough you are sat far to far away from the wheel anyway.

I looked into getting one of these for my SLK but when I saw the price I was more than happy to move my seat forward by half inch!!
