Since I got my Samsung S9 I've virtually stopped using my Nikon. I'm sure the S9 could have taken that pic of sunflowers jut as well.
Cameras on top notch smartphones are now of an excellent standard. I remember my Aussie mate being well impressed at the shots I took on my Samsung the first time I went over there.

Apple and JLR woes are just the start of an economic swing in favour of China, it’s worth remembering that China is not a free state and the population follow dictates from the authorities we will see a lot more of this

Yes, it's rather unfortunate really. Let's all bear in mind too that the iphone is actually manufactured in China.

I always wondered what would succeed our free capitalism in the West and it looks like it will be the capitalism of the East controlled by autocrats. I hope not but we seem to be sleepwalking into this only Trump can see the trend and is trying to row against it

Battery life on Huaweiis excellent. I have their Honor 8X. The battery is never less than 30% by the time I go to bed and put in charge. I get fed up of hearing my son cursing his iPhone. I think they will go the way of Nokia unless they change their ways.
And Blackberry...remember them

BBC News article.
New Zealand has become the latest country to block a proposal to use telecoms equipment made by China's Huawei because of national security concerns.

Spark New Zealand wanted to use Huawei equipment in its 5G mobile network.

However, a NZ government security agency said the deal would bring significant risks to national security.

The move is part of a growing push against the involvement of Chinese technology firms on security grounds.

5G networks are being built in several countries and will form the next significant wave of mobile infrastructure.

Huawei, the world's biggest producer of telecoms equipment, has faced resistance from foreign governments over the risk that its technology could be used for espionage.

Telecoms firm Spark New Zealand planned to use equipment from the Chinese firm in its 5G network.

The head of NZ's Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) told Spark the proposal "would , if implemented, raise significant national security risks", the company said.

Intelligence services minister Andrew Little said Spark could work with the agency to reduce that risk.

"As the GCSB has noted, this is an ongoing process. We will actively address any concerns and work together to find a way forward," Huawei said.

I think you'll find that the security concerns relate more to infrastructure hardware than end user products.

That sunflower pic looks like mid France.

As far as Apple is concerned, they once had the edge over all others. Now the others have caught up, and in many cases are better.

Unfortunately, this is also the story with MB. They once had a significant edge, but there are plenty of excellent cars about now - some of which will outperform MB's in many areas. MB are not the pinnacle of choice they once were.

Had Samsung S8 and swapped for a iPhone 6s and that just yesterday for an iPhone 8. I started with an iPhone 4 some time back (when they were yesterday's iPhone) had a 5s after that and thought I would try Android. No issues with any I just prefer the interface on Apple and my main table is an iPad. I really don't get on well with Android tablets.
No reason.

Apple losses are some concern as they are a big customer of ours.

My Mate 10 pro replaced a Samsung S6 Edge. Do it. The Huawei is vastly superior in every way.

My S9 replaced my S7, it is a far superior phone, simple progress
