I have recently bought a 2013 A180 A class and I am looking to upgrade its screen for CarPlay.
I’ve had the idea that it would be a lot easier to swap out the current screen with another A class screen than it would be to fit a whole new system altogether.
Hence I am now looking to try and buy a better A Class screen.
But to anyone’s knowledge, would this would be possible? And would a newer screen have the software such as CarPlay preinstalled?
I have seen a video on youtube where someone simply swaps the screen out with a bigger one and it avoided all the complicated wiring.
Also, unfortunately my screen has the software integrated into it hence why I can’t upgrade it with a Harmen-Becker device.
