just agreed to buy 04 plate vito.
reading all the problems that are reported on here? before i pay for this van £4500 am i doing the right thing?????????????
sat here thinking maybee back out of the deal as it seems there is nothing but complaits about this spanish built van?

Surely they can't be all bad or am i on the wrong planet!

The vito does have its problems am being fair with you. The newer (facelifted) ones are a lot better.

I shook on the deal and being the old school I will not go back on the hand shake.
picking her up wed evening/poss thursday.
you seem to have a lot of experience with these little gems:)lol::lol: )
what should i prepare myself for ie most common probs to watch for,
she is ex police custody van with 136000 on her. I have been in touch with them and they are forwarding the service sheet so that will be interesting!!!
drove her the gearbox worked well 6 speed and all lights went out on dash? so its a start,
If I may might be chatting soon will keep you imformed on how she goes,

Very honourable to go through with it. They are not bad in all fairness. The minibus version was just plain and simple awful. Air suspension problems and central locking issues. Drive shafts (which is applicable to yours) were common.

Fortunately the air suspension was not fitted to the van or I think it would have killed it!

will keep an i on the drive shafts would you no the usual symptoms to look 4?
mine is a dual liner not the minibus so i hope thats better.

Thats a result. Its just a visual inspection initially to check that the CV boots are intact and not leaking or split.
