Arial won't come out on C180

Hi, I've just bought a C180 1994. The arial wont come out. I thought it would be automatic but appears not I'm sure there is a button somewhere but i can't find it. You help would be appreciated.

When you turn on the radio the motor will be heard running and the mast will extend, when you turn off the radio the motor will be heard running and the mast will retract. Is there any noise coming from motor?
Also check fuse in boot, behind battery.

If it's an aftermarket stereo, then it may not be installed correctly. As well as connected the aerial to the stereo with the black plug, there is another wire that needs to be connected to raise and lower the aerial.

The stereo in my w123 does not support this so I installed a new button to operate the aerial.
