just a quick question that i hope someone might answer.
I have a 1988 2.3 16v 190e...... a lovely piece of engineering!.
I have recently found some bills for servicing that the previous owner had supplied with the vehicle. In the description of work section there states "adjusted CO to one percent and idle to spec. road tested car and found no faults with ASC system and lamp did not illuminate.Checked fault codes on ASC system and found no faults stored".
Does anyone know, or heard, of ASC.......... and in particular, regarding this vehicle.
The American service cd's mention fault finding capabilities on their later 190e's. (2.3 8v)...theirs with catalyst, lambda etc..My one is European non catalyst, non lambda.
I have read up quite a bit on this motor but never seen any referance to retrieving fault codes (i thought this vehicle predates such capability)......can anyone help....Television?.
