Hey guys.
I have a
Type: Audio 10
Model: BE 6019
MB Part#: A 203 820 16 86 [07]

Today whilst cleaning the car.. i got carried away and pulled out the centre console because i wanted to see if i could add an aux in for a 3.5 mm jack.

Before everyone says did you read a thread.. i didn't even know what make or model the HU was, until i did this.

Anyway's, i now know i have the above with a 6 disc changer. I don't know if i have the Bose System (do i?)

Anyways, seen as i need to spend money doing the only option i have found after trawlling (installing a FM Modulator). As an alternative can i just replace the Audio 10 with something else?
Maybe an after market?
What features do i need to look out for to replace it (size, connectors etc).

Thanks in advance

You need to know if you have bose or not really.

However, lets assume you don't.

i would go double din, you will get ipod control, bluetooth phone and it will freshen the dash up a lot.

This was mine with the Pioneer App Radio installed...

However, I have now put the new Pioneer X3500DAB in there, this has, as the name suggests, a DAB+ radio built in, and I find it easier to use as well with hard buttons....

You, will obviously loose your cd changer, but who cares when you have an ipod with your whole collection sat in the ashtray, Parrot bluetooth integrated and dozens of new radio channels with the DAB.

You will need an adapter costing around £35 to make it truly plug and play, and this will give you steering wheel controls, oh and a double din fascia, around a tenner.

It just completely freshens up the W203 imho, and makes the whole interior feel far more modern.

I have put the Pioneer X2500BT unit in my 203, I am very pleased with it and the sound from the standard speakers is impressive too.
I fitted the adaptor to get control from my steering wheel as well, sure beats the cassette player that was in there when I bought it.
