Hi everyone

Does anyone no the pin configuration for the multi CD changer as seen on the rear of the audio 20. I have a serviceable multichanger from a ford galaxy and I hope to connect to the audio 20 in my van. I have checked the number of pins and they are the same although the pin connector blocks are slightly different. Does anyone no if there is some compatability or standard between manufacturers?

I also have a second question if anyone knows the answer.

As you can see from my first question I have the audio 20 unit. I do not have a telephone connected however although I do have steering wheel controls. What extra bits apart from a telephone cradle would I need to get the phone to work in a manner that Mercedes had designed it?

Hi Rich,, the phone needs the interface to make use of the steering controls for the phone. The MB CD changer is optical coupled so there could be problems there, some Audio 10s have an Aux input if the player had a analogue output

Malcolm, thanks for that. I was unaware there was an optical coupling so you've answered my question. I will abandon that project and stick with the head single CD tray. With regards to the phone interface; is this a box and cable harness that is plugged in? Does it need programming or will it just work?
