Hi All

Can someone who owns a dipstick for the 722.6 gearbox please post the dimensions of the positions of the graduations from the end.

A replica can then be made from curtain wire.

If you press hard enough you can buy the proper dipstick from the dealer as I did . It cost £21 plus vat. Curtain wire is no good as the correct dipstick has 2 lugs on it to stop it going too far into the box.

Here is a pic of my 722.6 dipstick..........No problem using curtain wire, just mark it as in the pic and then feed it down the dip-tube until the tip of the wire just 'bottoms' onto the tranny sump.
