Auto Folding Mirros

Hi All

I have a 2000 E220 cdi with electric mirrors. At the moment they will only fold in by using the button on the console. Is there any way of getting them to fold automatically?

Some car can, some cant, you should ask an indie with STAR to try

If you have to keep your finger on the button to fold the mirros the likelyhood is they cannot auto-fold.

I asked the same question at my local MB dealer some time back.....he told me the 'auto-fold' facility is only available on later models which are fitted with a different controller, he thought maybe after 2003 approx....

Agreed, have a 2001 which doesnt do it either. I was told by a nice man in Portsmouth that if you push the left mirror button and reverese, if the mirror auto dips you also have the folding option.

I have a 1990 w210 which when I go into reverse dips the nearside mirror ( then puts it back up as I go forward ) but I don't have folding mirrors - self folding or otherwise. At least I don't THINK I do........but I discover more about this wonderful car daily, so who knows !

Must get my main beam switch fixed this weekend!
