Auto lights don't turn off

Hi all, just wondered if anyone had come across this problem. I have a 2004 C180 K and have just noticed in the last couple of days that the auto lights come on ( in tunnels, petrol stations etc) but then don't turn off when the light returns to normal. Any thoughts would be gratefully received.
P.S. Does anyone know where I can get the comand manual, I had it retrofitted on Saturday and have a cd version of the manual but I want one to keep in the car?

You can buy manuals from the dealer, approx £18. You may have to wait as they are batch printed. I was lucky, mine turned up within the week!

I haven't experienced the lighting problem you discribe. Perhaps a visit to some one with STAR could adjust the sensitivity?

Just a very long shot, but is the sensor clean. The location is the windscreen in the area of the rear view mirror?
Just thinking that, since most photocell's work on a differential, (doesn't reset the auto lights until a fairly high lighting level is reached), a dirty screen may not enable a reset? There again maybe just rubbish!
