I picked up my car on Saturday, and it’s got the auxiliary battery malfunction message flashing up every 5 ****** seconds! So they changed the part before I collected the car. But the fault remained. Mercedes are saying that they can’t just clear it. There must be another issue. Is there anything I can do to reset the part? While I’m waiting for the car to be looked at. I always turn the automatic stop/start off as soon as I get in the car. And as far as I know, that’s what the auxiliary battery controls? But I’m not 100%. I’ve read I could take the fuse out but I’m not sure which one it is. Any advice appreciated.

Sounds to me that they don’t know what they are doing. Tell them you want the fault cleared or you will be returning the car.

I am inclined to agree. The fault notification wouldn’t come back if there wasn’t a further issue. They are Mercedes words, not mine. Annoying though as I’ve only had the car a couple of days.

Maybe somebody has taken the fuse out and that's why it's not charging.
New to the Mercedes myself so not sure just a thought.

Funny u say that. I looked it up and the auxiliary fuse is apparently in the boot and it’s number 448. And I couldn’t find that fuse. So that’s either not the right number/location. Or the fuse isn’t there. Although my (limited) electrical experience tells me that if there’s no fuse, there’s no power. And the stop start works ANNOYINGLY well lol. I’ve read somewhere there is a component that works along side it (voltage converter) that could also need replacing. Either way, it will be fixed. It’s just bugging the crap outta me

Fuse 448 10n . Gearbox pawl controller fuse . You say they changed the part , which part , I'd of thought that would of been the voltage converter/ aux battery .

Anyhow , did you find a solution??
