avantgarde VS elegance

I am just wondering what is the basic difference between avantgrade and elegance model in E220 CDI Y2000

Avangarde is the sports one, so harder lower suspension, black instead of walnut dash, white dials, different alloys etc. Elegance is the 'luxury (posh)'one . Spec and engine are the same. Definition hasn't changed since the update so have a look at the merc site. Personally I didn't like the avantgarde, though I agree it looks better, as I bought a Merc for the comfort, but the avantgarde is more popular.

I have Avantgarde but with the softer Elegance suspension. Apart from different colour dials on the speedo/rev counter etc and the black birds eye maple instead of the walnut effect. Engine and transmission are identical as far as I know. Might be some subtle changes in door handle colours outside and in the chrome strips on the bumpers but that's about it. Alloy wheels may differ in pattern but both have alloys.
