B Class face lift

The face lift B class will soon be here with a new grill,headlamps and bumpers.

It will be offered with the new genaration of diesel and petrol engines. The big success for the B Class is the amount of room inside, the back seat has a lot more room the the outgoing S class.

The info says new genaration engines are more powerful and economical,
it also got a rear facelift.

Why can't Mercedes make a nice pretty car that is smaller than the C Class but still has the wow factor

To be truthful, it is quite nice as an all round vehicle, I played with one last week (current), I am not sure about black cars anyway,though it may the the in thing.

I do like the size of the B Class, just don't particularly like the shape. My other half really misses our Mercedes and is always on the Mercedes site looking at what is for sale. I only like the C Class and the other more expensive models, none of which I can afford :-(

I dont think the B class is ugly at all. Way better than all BMW's of late!

I don't like the side view of the B Class, it looks like so many other makes of cars

I also don't like the headlights, I prefer the pretty peanut shaped ones on the C Class.

What I really need is a small version of the C Class Estate :lol:

It will be launched Spring 2008. I had a 200cdi and the engine was quiet and smooth. I had the CVT auto box and at 70 she was only doing 2000 rpm. Good performance for a standard model 0-62 in 9.6 secs. (auto virtually identical to the manual). Impressive car and it has gained five stars on the NCAP safety tests.

They have. It is called the B class. Much better looking than a Golf IMO or a Focus or Astra.

I have never looked much at this type of car, but after having a good play with it it,it is very practical from all angles, easy to get in and out,lots of room,not that big outside,but roomy inside, it has a lot going for it.

Well I think my Golf is prettier than the B Class

I think my ideal car would have the back half the of the Mk4 Golf as it has tons of boot space and being a hatch is very practical, then for the front I'd like that to be the same as the C Class Mercedes with the lovely lights

I did think that the B Class might really eat into C Class sales, but the B just doesn't seem to have taken off.

It reminds me of a bigger version of our Honda Jazz, and that's just a brilliant car in so many ways, but not really (in my opinion) suited to long journeys.

If you go onto the Mercedes site and search for a used B Class they are still very highly priced too. Most of them seem to be manual too

I wish the C Class Coupe was a hatchback as that's shorter than the saloon and estate, so would be ideal

I have to say I have never gone and checked, but my other half assures me it has a boot like the saloon. Now I'm really confused :lol:

TBH, I've never checked either - but I've always assumed it was a hatch. There's no pictures of it open on the MB website, but it does have folding split rear seats, so that would tend to indicate that it's a hatch.

I'm sure you are right Rory and thanks for that info. When I asked my other half why he gave me the wrong answer his response was 'Oh I probably wasn't listening when you asked me' :roll: Men pffft
