Hello

I've got a 7 month old B180 with a bad suspension rattle. It has had it since new, and (hopefully) this will be sorted within the next few weeks. It seems to me as if the front calipers are very loose and if you kick either of the front wheels the whole wheel rattles. When driving round town the rattle is very noticable (passengers comment), but on motorways you cannot hear it. Also when the car is empty there is a strong dip to the drivers side (by about 1 1/2 inches) but certainly very noticable.

Is this a common problem with the B Class ?

Suspension Woes

The car is obviously still in warranty, so get it back to the dealership asap and let them check it out. The dip to the nearside suggests a broken spring, although I would have thought this unusual in a 7 month old car.

There doesn't seem to be much history of B Class's here, but maybe some of the specialists who visit the site may have more information.

Let us know how you get on.
