I have recently purchased a 1992 190e 2litre auto, the car has covered 53,000 . The car starts and runs perfectly but on several occasions has just cut out (usually when engine is warm). I took it to a local MB specialist who said that he could find nothing wrong, but by a proccess of elimination concluded that it must be a malfunctioning throttle valve. He said that it would be approx£280 for the valve (cheaper second hand) and that it would require about 3 hours labour.
Does anyone have any commnts/suggestions to make as I am reluctant to part with the best part of £500 on spec
Any comment appreciated
