I have a w123 TD300 (diesel) with manual gearbox. Can the Auto box from a 300TE (petrol) be fitted without any major changes ? Has anybody done this change before ?

:( Its quite a big conversion from manual to auto The big things that I think you will require is radiator, flywheel, torque converter, Brake pedal cooling pipes possibly A starter motor & may require a prop shaft

I could well have the whole auto vehicle as a donor car

I think you would be better off having the car as a donor because there might be a lot of minor things to be changed hope you get on all right doing the conversion if you deicide to go ahead BEST OF LUCK.
