Sorry, can’t read any of the detail. However, if they are not Mercedes specialists with access to The Star and Xentry systems, they won’t be able to update your Digital Service Book.

I can’t comment on the prices but others may have a view.

Having looked at their website, they are rather vague and don’t specifically mention that they can update the DSB which those that have the right IT links are usually proud to mention. Necessary access to the Mercedes systems costs around £12k a year, I believe, so some specialists don’t actually have it. I suppose it’s best to ask the question whether they can update the Digital Service Book if that is so important to you and make sure you get a definite answer.

Edit - that said, they are on the Club's specialist finder and offer 10% discount to club members.

Have a ring around your local MB dealers for a service quote. I saved £70 getting a quote from another MB dealer, my usual dealer matched it. That was for an A service on a SLK 200K.

I’ve had a quote from a Mercedes specialist
Service £295
Fuel filter £140
Air filter £60
Does this sound about right ?
Thanks

Sounds expensive if you ask me from an Indy. Are they using genuine parts. At that rate go to Mercedes direct and ask for a discount.

Thanks jbell
I’ve put my details in , it just gives me a price for a service nothing else
Is this because I chose the service option ?
It just tells me what’s involved in a service
Thanks

There is usually a button with extras on, click it and it will tell you

Just under the blue box with the price in there is a line "Key features of your service +", click on the + and all will be revealed

I thought it might be low mileage, similar situation to me then. My advice would be to find a good Independent and service AABAAB... on an 18mth cycle otherwise you are wasting money on unnecessary oil and filter(s) changes, unfortunately this is what happens with the new MB annual service regime if you don’t do the miles the 2 year interval was much better but not so lucrative for the franchises. Terribly wasteful and to cap it all that lovely fully synthetic oil only does a fraction of its scheduled service life of 16k miles

Malcolm make a lot of sense. We have two cars almost 9 & 10 years old, both retired doing 3K in one & 6 K in the other. I think thats a route I will take.
