On way home from work tonight, hit a not-that-massive pothole. Big bang from direction of passenger front wheel. Sounded like someone had hit underside of car with a hammer. Definitely nothing hitting the car, noise definitely internal.

Car handles perfectly fine but there's a definite 'jangling' noise when going over bumpy road & coming from direction of same wheel - best described as noise that jangling keys make, with an intermittent normal rattle.

Had a look under car and under bonnet & can't see anything obvious.

Anyone got any ideas??

Get it checked....MBWill has a thread where his tie rod snapped a few weeks after hitting a pothole.... thread called track rod or tie rod!

Possibly cracked and later fail due to fatigue...

Broken spring. Broken bit is loose and rattling on top of the bottom arm.
