I have a '98' 250 CDI who's BAS / ASR lamp is illuminated.... what checks can be made on the system.... a quick ref to the manual refer it as the brake assist system... please help... Thanks
probably your brake light switch thats gone, it has 2 switches inside it, and it can cause your bas and asr and abs to stop working even if your brake lights are still working.
Actually ...no...also checked the operation of the brake switch by the brake pedal and that all ok ... I assumed from your question both are connected ???. Thanks
That sounds like a voltage relay to me. Am not sure if your car actually has a OVP relay, but it must have some voltage regulator(s), to protect the electronics.
then again it could be the throttle pointemeter thingy
