Hey guys,
I've been getting this warning light for a while now. When driving, the car refuses to exceed first gear. I am getting a BAS/ESP warning light, so I looked around the forums and a new brake sensor seemed to help quite a few people. I went out and purchased one for AU$15, put it in and ... still have the same problem.

What to do guys?!

Cheers

I wouldnt guess at faults, you end up spending more money and wasting your time.

You need to get it onto STAR or a good form of diagnostic equipment and get a fault code. I would suspect a wheel speed sensor is at fault, but that is just a guess

Did you turn the steering wheel lock to lock twice with the engine running after you fitted it ?

Sorry.

Just saying what I had to do on our A class when the BAS / ESP warning came on and I replaced the brake switch :)
