Hi,

I've just bought a 2006 CLS 500 which has bluetooth with a Motorola V3 cradle in the armrest. All I want to do is pair my iphone with the car but I am struggling to do this which is a simple procedure in Audi's that I've had. I don't know much about Mercs so maybe its different. I have read the manual but I just can't get it. I have held the button on the cradle for a couple of seconds and searched on the iphone for new connections and it has found "MB V3" and I've put the 5 digit code into the phone which seems to accept it but it just won't connect.

Can you only use the phone for what the cradle is for? I don't want to go back to an old V3.

Can anyone please help?

Cheers

Martin

Thanks, so my only option is to change the cradle, is that right?

So if you use a different phone you always need to change the cradle for that phone, doesn't that defeat the main point of having bluetooth?

My older Audi has a Nokia cradle but I can still use my iphone via the cars bluetooth using the steering wheel just buy pairing to the car.

If you buy a bluetooth cradle instead of a phone specific one then no need to change the cradle each time.

From 2008 the cars come with full bluetooth connectivity built into the headunit so no cradle needed but your cars older so it needs a cradle.
