Hi,

I recentley purchased my first E240 (W210) on a W reg (June 2000). There are three things I need to replace on the car, however, I am having problems in locating /accessing the items.
Can anyone please offer some advice?

1. In the manual it states the battery is in the right hand recess of the boot. I have checked everywhere in the boot but cant locate the battery.

2. The OS wing mirror glass requires replacing but I cant see how it is released from the housing.

3. The indicator bulb on the OS wing mirror housing needs replacing but I cant see how to release the lens cover.

Any advice or assitance would be gratefully appreciated.

Best Regards,

Hi Television,

Thanks for your prompt response. Battery is where you advise, obvious when I stop to think!!!!

The video clip on YouTube is great.

Do you have any advice on how to remove the lens cover from the mirror housing so I can replace the faulty indicator bulb?

Best Regards,

Take the glass out the way that I said, if you can see 4 small torx screws hold the cover on remove those and the mirror cover should come off and the ind lens is just screwed on.

If this is incorrect I will look it up

Hi Television,

I have ordered a replacement mirror from Euro car parts, when that arrives I will attempt remove the faulty glass and see how the indicator lens is secured. I will then give you an update.

Many thanks,
