C350e plugin Hybrid
Hi all,
I have a 2017 C350e Plugin Hybrid. I received a "Battery Malfunction" message. It was recomended that I change the rear 12V AGM start/stop electric hybrid battery. I purchased a new battery and changed it. However the "Battery Malfunction" message is still showing. I am not sure what is the next step to trouble shoot this issue or how to get this resolved. Has anyone experienced similar and solved. Looking for advice on solving this issue...

Hope your problem was solved. The fault could be from the voltage regulator and not the battery. E.q. part no.: A 205 905 34 14 80

or does the warning simply need a reset once a new battery is in.
MB make is rather unfair for many things customers need a computer reset - instinct kicks and they go to the dealers wheras many other code readers would do.

Hi, new to the forum. My car did the same, after a bit of investigation it appears that the main cable from the high voltage battery is rubbing against the body work causing it to short out. MB want 2500 to replace the loom, but local guy says he can sort for far less. Also there was a recall for this problem early in the cars life.

I would need an arm firmly up my back to pay that much to sort out a rubbed wire.

I wonder if there was/is a recall or even service advisory for what sounds like a fire risk?

Apparently there was a recall some years ago, for a similar reason, which was done on my car. This is a new fault, may be related to the recall as in a similar vein, but I don't think enough has been reported to create a new recall.
