Help,

I had to remove my Battery to charge and on returning the battery my Electric windows fail to rise. They go down ok but fail to rise....a problem I have never normally suffer from.....

I have heared that I require to resent something? I have looked throught the manuals and the HAYNES guide but cannot find anything to give me a guide.

I have seen others have suffered problems on removing and re-connecting the battery. I have seen suggestions that the is a 10 second reset procedure but does anybody know what this is?

I own a 1999 W202 C250 TD ESTATE

OK thanks

Does the ignition key have to be turned to any position?

Just to clarify.....driver window down to bottom....hold button for 10 seconds. then proceed to try and get window up to position one (half way?) hold for 10 seconds. Then fully close window and repeat with others....

Ill give it a shot in the morning...wish me luck or it could be a cold journey to work!!

Thanks.

As Jib and the key has to be turned to 2 most car cars get away with just holding the window switch in the up mode after it has closed

Thanks for the tip on resetting the electric windows for the C250 TD. Found this morning that with a car full of Christmas goodies I was unable to get the windows to go up, so had to drive home freezing cold, as didn't trust the locals not to pinch the goodies if I parked in town.

Will try the tip later.

Happy Christmas
