Hi, just reading through some old posts and I would like to get the part numbers for the two batteries in a 2004 W211 E220 cdi. I believe that they are both AGM-type batteries, and if possible could some-one give me a name, or names, where I can get the correct batteries, rather than having to buy of Mercedes.
Thanks very much, parkman.

You will probably do well at your local Varta agent, they know what the 2 AGM batteries are and they probably are Varta anyway.

Hi, I wonder if Kwikfit keep the AGM-type batteries in stock ? Maurice, the battery in the boot is actually a Mercedes battery, but I don't know if it is the original or a replacement, the car is 2004. I will have to have a look and see if I can see the year of manufacture. I am just thinking ahead as I have seen the message about battery thingys' being disabled twice now, and going by the previous posts there could be a possibility that I am going to have to replace the main battery in the boot, and if I am going to do that I think that I may as well replace both at the same time. Having looked at battery suppliers, as Maurice says, I will probably have to use the Varta batteries.
Best regards, parkman.

ECP with forum discount are well priced for batteries. If you give them the OEM number off yopur current battery they will cross reference and tell you what they have that is the same, ask for the product code. Order online with forum discount for delivery or click and collect.

Hi, thanks for the replies, all. Sorry Malcolm A.K.A. "Maurice" I will ring around on Monday, maybe local Mercedes dealer will feel nice to me because they may have a huge stock of W211 batteries that they want to shift ? Errrr, I don't think so.
Hopefully I will be able to post the prices next week.
Best regards, parkman.

When I fitted a new battery last year, the electric windows played up for about a week before they would work correctly.

The windows and roof will need resetting, ignition on, close each window in turn and hold the switch in the closed mode for 4 seconds, same with the roof, the ESP lamp will go away as you drive.
