Battle with the Rattle - solved

Hi

Just a quick note to let Colin and Dave at MBS know that thanks to their disturbingly quick ability to dismantle the rear trim, a decent dab of Aralidite has done the trick

The Rattle due to the broken 'popper' support is no more and the 3rd brake light trim is not longer rattling against the glass :D

Was well worth dropping in whilst in the area to see if I needed a special tool to prize the trim off (and I did, well... they did) and catch up with the first person I met as a MB owner nearly 3 years ago when he was tooled up in the Mobilo R class!

Nice to meet 'Blakey' whilst his Benz was being 'coerced' into shape by the team as well

Hope its not too wet down there today following the deluges over the weekend

Again - thanks for the ad hoc assistance guys

Jonathan

After reading the many stories on this forum, I'd visit MBS in a heartbeat if my merc was in the UK. Maybe get a cuppa too... :)

Everybody is welcome to come for a cuppa and a chat (even a biscuit) (tin of M&S) at the mo!!!!

The box and rear axle oil change can wait until the summer.

My car has been out in torrential rain for 5 days now, and tonight I checked in the boot and not one drop of water in it.

So my mods work well and easy to do

I will run through the mods,,1½ hours max, and Landywood did his my way and no longer leaks. No need for £4k worth of seals, as mine are all original, and the cost to fix was £5
