- None at the monent, but there's an OM642 in the Jeep Grand Cherokee!
Hi Guys,
Well, the warmer weather is almost upon us, so pretty soon I'd like to tackle the rusty scabs on my W124's front wings.
It's in the usual place - just above the front bumper, and both sides will need doing.
The options are:
1) Get a bodyshop to do it - but at what cost!
2) Get two secondhand wings - finding two non-rusty ones = :-(
3) Try to repair it myself 'in-situ' - no garage access
4) Remove wing and repair it myself - can take to work and use small workshop
I've talked myself into doing 4), but is removing the front wings as easy as it seems?
The paint colour is almandine red (512), and looks reasonably unfaded - is this relatively easy to match?
I'm not looking for a 'concourse' finish, just something a little more respectable than "paint code 666"
Cheers.
