Best engine oil?

Hi There,

What is the best engine oil to use for a SL500 2003 model 70k miles.

Mobil 1?

There is no best, and fully synthetic oil that meets spec 229.3 is just fine. It was Mobil 1 229.1 when the car was made, but things move on

I've always used Mobil 1 0W/40 (from the first oil change) in my SLK320. If you buy the oil yourself it doesn't work out any more expensive than whatever the MB dealer uses.
