Bi-xenon lights not too direct for other drivers

can someone help me- i recently purchased a ml-class with xenon lights, now the problems is i am unable to lower the lights as i cannot find the adjusment button to lower the lights at present the lights are too direct. can someone pls tell me if there is a button for this function. thanks

well as part of another discussion we thought they might be auto-levelling only.

assume that you have no thumbwheel next to rotary light switch

check if the lights are clean which I considered may affect the levelling

else take 'em in for inspection

They are indeed self levelling (or rather, self adjusting). Again from another discussion it appears that this is compulsory. You can tell 'cause when you switch them on they should dip and then come back to level (at least mine do and was true of a previous car which was an Alfa and a colleague of mine with his BMW).

I guess if you think they're not propery calibrated you can get them checked by an MOT station or fully checked / re-calibrated by a dealer.
