Hello chaps,

#longshot.

I am heading off in a few weeks for four months. I am after a cover for my cherished car. I've seen StormForce examples on Ebay for £150. Seems like a great price but after this four-month break, what will I do with it? Therefore, does anyone have one I may borrow? Or a second hand one for sale?

Many thanks indeed.

Whatever you buy make sure it is a good fit . Any loose areas will flap in any kind of breeze and mess up the paintwork underneath.

Indeed. I'd like a custom fit one really. But the car lives in an underground garage so it is not subject to any car of breeze. It is more for dust and debris. Many people use this same garage and have a cover for their cars, which aren't used daily.

I bought a cheapo large cover the for the SL and it was interesting to read the directions for use :

Not be used on cars older than 20 years....

If the cover is to left on more than 24 hours then a soft underlay should be placed on the car before applying the cover..to absorb any condensation

The cover should be removed every 3 days to check for condensation, the underlay should be changed if it is damp from condensation and fresh underlay applied after letting the car dry thoroughly before replacing the cover....

Thats the abridged version maybe the expensive ones are better...

You will be very happy with the StormForce i have one it as 4 flaps two on each side to let air through .Dry as a bone all the winter .Cover it over with old sheets just as precaution, not need realy .Also securing straps ,and above all its tailored to fit your car..
