Hi All, wonder if someone out there has knowledge on if the 19 inch w218 5 spoke amg alloys fit on a w219, I have a w219 with original 19 inch wheel and air suspension upgrade and I am feed up with replacing and repairing cracked alloys , I wonder if it is possible for me to fit the later models wheels not because I am trying to make the car look newer but thinking that the newer wheels are less likely to crack, the other option I was thinking of was putting a set of the 18 inch SL turbine wheels on with a slightly larger tyre, thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated ?

Hello and welcome, 19" wheels carry such narrow profile tyres, they are all liable to crack due to the state of most of our roads. you could think of 18", this would help, but you must bare in mind that the 218/219 use strange off sets, and this limits the choice.

Thank you for your response, the old cls has an offset of 25 fronts and 28 rears on the 19's the new one has front 34 and rear 48 , do you think that would make a huge difference ?

Yes they would not fit as they would sit too far inwards
