My CLK W208 boot is stuck closed! I've tried everything.. button to release the boot from cabin, the button light is on which shows my boot is open , tried to open it with key but it's not turning at all! And last now when i lock the car with remote it doesn't flash 3 times which it should be!
Help guys!

Cheers!

You will have to spray some PTFE into the lock barrel and keep trying with the key, it will turn eventually

Odd - sounds like the system thinks the boot is already open - hence the light on and the lack of flashing lights when you lock it. Also probably why the lock isn#t activiating.
Have you tried just bouncing the boot lid around - sounds like something's stuck, maybe just needs a jolt free.
As for the key - WD40 and a bit of mucking about normally frees it off. They sieze because they're never used.

Smart + others :)
It'll be the lock or wiring to the lock around the hinge area that has most probably failed, very comon problem with a key that will not turn in lock due to lack of use, as T says keep trying.

Good thinking on that with the wires as that would explain the boot not closed bit :D:D

Do not force the key,,just keep trying,a little this way and a little the other way and it will work.

You can use WD40,,but you must follow up with something like PTFE after to keep it working

The key turns through 180º and it will open it in the other direction,,a little downward pressure on the lid may help

Ive got the same issue - grateful if you could let me know whether you solved the problem - I left my car in the local garage today but they could not fix the problem, they were unable to open the boot and suggested they would have to break the lock - I declined and will now go to Merc. Im also concerned as, despite having the battery replaced 1 week ago and driving the car daily to and from work, when i went to start the car only 1 hour after parking up, the car was dead, wouldnt even turn over, just a 'click' when i turned the key. Strangely, the next morning the car started fine. Im confused....
