bleeping noise whilst driving

hi there, Merc A140, bleeping noise now and again whilst driving, any ideas on what it could be? no warning lights on. very grateful for any reply

possibly a clever new device to bleep out the expletives of A-Class drivers not yet used to the (lack of) suspension. Audi probably fit something similar as standard - "spine-o-tronic" or something like that.

Mobile battery running down? Don't laugh, kids lose a phone/tamagatchi etc under the seat and ....
What can beep in an A140? Stereo, lights alarm? There isn't a lot.

parking senors? reversing alarm? Seat belt warning?
I find my pager (yes pager!) makes the most awful racket when the battery starts to go, usually at 3am in the morning. Because of the frequency it is very hard to find out which direction the noise is coming from.
