Blocked DPF

Hi guys. Trying to find my way around this forum to obtain advice on above. Purchased vehicle in limp mode Mercedes Viano 639 2010 model with the 3 liter OM642 engine. My Snap-on diagnostic tells me DPF blocked when I have replaced said with new unit and associated sensors....Any advice will be appreciated..thanks in advance Allan

All codes have been cleared but DPF blocked continues to come back and engine light comes back on after you switch off and restart. Tried forced Regen but does not allow. Went in via EOBD and cleared codes but when i go in through auto ID the codes are as displayed and don't clear.

Many thanks Steve and def shall do as I have replaced all the sensors as well as stripping and cleaning EGR valve as well as turbo and replaced the PCV valve and all rubbers and o rings associated with the intake.

Many thanks Steve and def shall do as I have replaced all the sensors as well as stripping and cleaning EGR valve as well as turbo and replaced the PCV valve and all rubbers and o rings associated with the intake.

He knows his stuff, and if you give him live data from your diagnostics he might be able to pin point the problem.

Hi Steve. he refered me to a mobile diagnostic chap. He came plugged in his computer and updated. Turns out my snapon unit could not reset DPF and now vehicle is back to standard. Many many thanks good call.....

Interesting post re Snapon, just goes to show. For the future reference I'll stick with my iCarsoft scanner I think... :)
