the mostly likely contribution from the manu, will be YOU pay for the coffee you're drinking as they explain how u should do one....

the world is moving towards, "it started when you left the show room - and anyway the new model came out the day after we sold you yours, if you aren't buying one of those can you get out of the car parking space as the queue is very long and you're holding us back"
not yours BUT...

USA Recall Campaign 2020020023 MAR20 – 2018 & 2019 213, 222, 217, 290 due to thermal loading while driving, oil feed line to turbochargers might exhibit leakage risk of fire cannot be ruled out. Dealer will replace the oil feed line to the turbocharger. Approximately 2,518 vehicles affected.

Mercedes today offered to pay 40% of the repair, told them this was unacceptable and if it had not been for the Corona Virus I would have indeed clocked up the milage at which my turbo failed whilst it was still in warranty so have told them to take that info back to the warranty dept and comeback to me with a revised offer ! .....

Hey well done Grinder.
Thats better than nothing and you know your getting genuine parts.
What are you holding out for.
Still a huge shame this failed when it did.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi, i have just stumbled across your post form last year as I am having the same issue with Mercedes, a blown turbo at 55k. Unfortunately there is significant engine damage too and Mercedes are quoting 12k for an engine rebuild! I reported a noise coming from the engine when they serviced it only 6days prior and they found nothing so I’m trying to get a goodwill payment.

Therefore I’d would love to know where you ended up with your goodwill claim? Did they up the 40%? Would you also mind telling me which dealership you used.

Thank you in advance, Kate

The poster has not been online since his incident so I wouldnt expect an answer. Its not easy to shop around MB dealers for such a repair, once a dealer has had a look and quoted as the information is in the system and the goodwill comes from MBUK not the franchise.
