Hi, My CLK has bluetooth and is recognising my phone, but my phone does not recognise it. Do I need the bluetooth adapter to put inthe credle for this to work?, as I beleive I may also need to change my phone as the adapter only can be used with selected phones. Can anyone help as the dealer has no idea?

Thanks Maggie

I take it your phone has bluetooth? ;) It should work with any bluetooth phone. The cradle is just for charging and antenna connection, so you should be able to do without it in most areas.

Sounds like you just need to 'pair' the two. Normally this is done from the phone - you don't say what phone it is, but it should have a bluetooth menu wher you can search for hands free devices. You will need to enter a code. The default is 0000 so try that first. You only need the code once, as long as you set the phone to automatically connect.

Bluetooth phone

Thanks for your response. Yes, my phone is bluetooth and it recognised a unit as UHI once, but didn't pair, even though I tried the default number you suggested also. Maybe I just need to keep trying in different areas. At least I won't have a need for the cradle, if itonly provides charging and using the antenna. thanks for this info.

Regards

Maggie

When you say you have bluetooth..... are you referring to the bluetooth option in the command unit?
If so, ignore this, I can't remember what it does, but to cut a long story short, it isn't for the phone. To use bluetooth with your phone on an MB UHI prewired system, yes you need the bluetooth cradle (£300-400) and a compatible phone. Else just buy an ordinary cradle for your phone for £131 which will charge it into the bargain.
