i have the above bluetooth and i'm try to use a vodaphone 858 smart phone it say that it is connected but when i try and activate the phone it will come on then disconnect straight away any ideas

The built in bluetooth in your headunit was only ever intended to be used with a privacy headset. I'm afraid it will not work with any phone.

The bluetooth option itself should have been removed as/when the latest firmware for the unit was/is applied.

The only phones to be wary of with regards to bluetooth are Samsung and HTC. In our experience these phones are more problematic than all the others put together.
