I have just bought one, ( dont panic, still got the trusty 124 ). Its primarily for the wife, but I will use it too. If I use the indicators (and I think I will ). What levels of derision should I expect from others BMW drivers and possibly Audi drivers too ? Will they just look at me and think doddery old fool, or am I likely to become a road rage victim ?

My wife had to drive back from ooooop north yesterday as her colleague slipped and broke a bone. The car is a X3. Made excellent time too.

This morning it had to go in for a service, so I went with to bring her back. I noted the indicators didn't work, whether by not actually operating them, or just cos its a BMW. When she checked it in they said they will check they work, but that they don't usually as no one normally uses them on a BMW

It is an auto with alsorts of gadgets on it. She managed to drive back in an unfamiliar car. She has yet to drive my GLE, initially cos of the keyless go and she wouldn't remember where the key went. Her Qasquai has keyless go that she gets on with, go figure. She has promised to drive mine. I live in hope she will tow the caravan

Please don't use the indicators, you will confuse everybody, they will not be expecting that at all. The important thing is that you always be in front in true BMW tradition !

It's Audi's that don't appear to have indicators and sit 1/2" off the rear bumper these days.

Doesn't matter if you're at the legal limit or above it, there'll be a reptilian in an Audi trying to meet his targets, rapidly losing hair, gaining an ulcer and heading rapidly to his first myocardial infarction 1/2" off your bumper.
