VW Scirocco. The Quattro, E350 CDi Blue Efficiency Sport Coupe, now both gone
View attachment 47769 View attachment 47770 Couple of members were asking about the plug in aspect.

I think I'd wrap that black plug/socket protector in a cloth John, if it's hard plastic.
On a windy day I reckon there's potential for damage to the paint if it was getting blown about a lot. Unless of course it's made of a very soft plastic or perhaps silicone?

The old adage " Great minds think alike" springs to mind. :D:D

Or perhaps it's the shared paranoia about potential damage to our cars, lol? :D

hey John, i just have to let you know how envious I was of your E63, it's a car i dream of owning one day.... one far away day. I love v8's and the sound/feel of them, never been in an E63 yet but the video's of them are special. Good luck with your new beemer, and i'm looking forward to when you come back to this side of the fence.

So a small update on ‘living with an i8 as a daily driver’
Must say I’m getting more and more impressed in almost every way
- smooth and silky motorway progress
- feels special
- looks stunning
- comfortable now I’ve got the seating right
- the entry and exit gets easier
- got used to parking spaces and door opening ( most of the time I park miles from anyone else anyway)
- filled the tank for the first time since I got it

Good decision... can’t wait for the spring and some longer drives

I have to say that logically it makes a lot of sense if luggage space isn't a consideration. If they did a convertible....

Lovely looking car. A few years ago I was in a BMW dealer when my daughter was buying her 1 Series coupe (she now has a 2 series in blue) and did look at the i8. I have only heard good from people I know who have test drove them and even Clarkson preferred it to the M3/4 at the time.
I am not a fan of EV's but hybrids yes.
