Bonnet Keeps releasing!!!

Hi Folks

Need your advice, The Bonnet on my W123 Keeps releasing as I'm driving I've tried WD40 on the mechanism and cleaning it still happening, any suggestions appreciated

Improperly adjusted cable, lock may have been damaged and or worn locking pawl, I would suggest that you replace the lock as it would be much cheaper than a new bonnet and windscreen

You must be sure that the lock is closing and you can do this looking down the hole where the pin on the bonnet goes into,
Is the spring intact

I think it is intact

I'm sure it is intact, it does latch down but after 10 or so mins driving pops up !!

OK is it really locking, close it and try and pull it up while shaking it

Just tried it

Tried that Malcom, now it popped up on the left (offside) have tried looking at it slowley as it is lowering weird...I think it could be the catch or latch, should I blast it with WD40 again
