bonnet lock lube

what do members use for their bonnet locks, i have heard some use engine oil and some use silicone spray , what should i use.

I use what ever first comes to hand .... I've 'acquired' various flavours of grease over the years (some actually food grade )

I’ve quite a few food grade as well… I found it was “cheaper”…
